Bukonzo Dream Extended Fermentation coffee stands out for its innovative processing, a method designed to bring out its rich, complex flavors. After the coffee cherries are carefully harvested at high altitudes of 1800-2000 meters, they go through a unique extended fermentation process that sets this coffee apart.

This coffee begins with a 24-hour aerobic fermentation phase, which occurs in open-air conditions. This method allows the natural yeast and bacteria present on the cherries to work gradually, unlocking unique flavors that amplify the coffee’s complexity. The extended fermentation allows for a slow breakdown of sugars, enhancing its bright, fruity notes.

Agri Evolve was established in 2016 with a simple yet ambitious goal: to serve as a reliable collection point for both Dried Ugandan Arabica (DRUGAR) and ripe coffee cherries in the Rwenzori Mountains.Around 300-500 smallholders contribute to each lot of Agri Evolve’s coffee. The average farm size of these small holders is about 1.5-2.2 acres. Since their establishment in 2015, Agri Evolve has been on a mission to reshape the landscape of agriculture business in Uganda. Focused on benefiting farmers, families & communities, the company has carved a niche in the Rwenzori region of western Uganda.

Agri Evolve has become a trusted partner in the farming community, known for paying fair prices consistently and on time—a seemingly simple practice that has made a world of difference for the farmers. Through these efforts, Agri Evolve continues to transform coffee production in the Rwenzori Mountains, fostering growth and sustainability for the future. In September 2023, Agri Evolve set themselves apart from the crowd by earning B Corp certification. This achievement means they’ve exceeded the strict standards B Corp sets for making a positive impact on the world. To put it into perspective, the typical “impact score” of a company is 50.9 out of a 100. Agri Evolve blew past this with a score of 81.5 and especially stood out in their work to reduce poverty in the supply chain. This shows they’re not just about profit – they’re built to make a real difference for their workers, the community, the environment and their customers.
